In 2019, I digitally merged hundreds of faces with machine parts I photographed in VA, MD & CO into more than 1000 configurations for a Science Fiction event at Rust Library in Leesburg, VA. This is my commentary on how technology is dehumanizing us. We are becoming one with our devices, and there will come a day when we can't tell where the human ends and the machine starts. Here is a slide show of some of the best images, an article featured in the Loudoun Now newspaper & their exhibit at Gum Spring Library in VA. Different incarnations of the collection have also been commissioned by various families for their private homes & offices. These biomechanical portraits have also appeared at Franklin Park Arts Center (Purcellville, VA), at the Lovettsville, VA Library, at the former Tryst Gallery (Leesburg, VA) & at the District Arts Gallery (Frederick, MD) in different layouts printed on metal, acrylic or metallic photo paper.
